Martin and Andrea Foord would like to extend you a warm welcome and we hope you will enjoy your stay here on our farm site. We are sure you will find much to interest you in this wonderful part of the North York Moors 

There has been a dwelling of one sort or another on this site since the time of the Domesday Book in 1086, in which it receives a mention. At that time it is believed a Manor house stood here and later, in the middle ages, a Cruck house. The present farmhouse and buildings date from the 17oo's and have one or two interesting architectural features, for example the corbel stones on the granary building are carved with faces, each having a different expression.

There are many local walks over the heather clad moors and along woodland paths. One such walk we have recently opened runs through 'Crunkly Ghyll' a deep wooded ravine which is close to the caravan park and is accessed through a gate halfway down the second field. This walk takes you through the upper part of the Ghyll and exits onto fields about half a mile from the starting point.  From there it is only a little further into Lealholm village with its shop, pub and other facilities for you to enjoy.
